Qoya is a women’s embodiment practise based on the idea that through movement we remember our essence as wise, wild and free, drawing reference to the movement forms that we practise. Wise – the traditions of yoga/meditation and having everything we need within. Wild – creative expression in dance. Free – expanding the capacity to feel pleasure in our body through sensual movement. Experience a taste of Qoya including Intention Setting, Circling, Heart Opening, Free Dance and Community Sharing. In Qoya we say come as you are and leave as more of who you are, remembering there is no way to get it wrong and the way you know you’re doing it right is that it feels good.
Stacey Smart - BMus(Perf) GradDipEd(Secondary), is Lead Facilitator, certified Qoya teacher and Rhythm Medicine Maven at Wise Woman Rhythm.
